I bought a pre purchase inspection for a 2008 Porsche Cayman I was looking to buy. It cost $950. The thorough report came with a few red flags that seemed like easy enough maintenance jobs, so I went ahead and bought the car the next weekend. The very next day after purchasing the car, I got a check engine light for cylinder 5 misfire. While the report did check for misfires and didn't find any, they failed to inspect the spark plugs or ignition coils, which are the most likely culprits. The car also struggled to start, which could be related to faulty spark plugs/ignition coils. They did not note this either. I called them to ask what could be done, and they offered absolutely nothing. Not even a free diagnosis. This leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I will not be going back.
